The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed concerning the superior quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The support issue produced for intervention encounters a significant inflow of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to help the servicing of all consumers and maximize entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
